Day 517: Biden pressured Israel, Trump pressures Hamas

Trump is now the first President in history to negotiate directly with Hamas, which was designated a terrorist group in the 90’s. USA negotiators are in Doha speaking directly with Hamas leaders. State Department head Marc Rubio says to Hamas, “Believe him: he’s serious.”

I’m thankful for the refreshing pro-Israel stance, and a can-do attitude from the new presidential cabinet.

Day 517: War against Jews continues in Samaria

High school teenager Yahli Gur, 17, has died from her wounds, leaving behind three younger siblings. Last week a Palestinian illegally living in Israel, rammed his car into a bus stop full of people. This goes against the narrative that terrorists are young, with no wife or kids. This guy was 53, wife, kids, (Arab Israeli), and he gave it all up for the sake of the hopeless cause.

The IDF continues operations against Hamas in Jenin, also in Samaria (Shomron).

In Judea, terrorist homes were demolished in the Palestinian section of Hebron.

Calendar 2025

Upcoming highlights on the Calendars, both the Rabbinic and the Biblical calendar:

  • Sunset March 13: Purim begins (Eternal Torah Calendar coincides with rabbinic calendar).
  • Sunset March 29: Aviv begins (ETC calendar again coincides with rabbinic).
  • Daytime April 12: Pessach (ETC)
  • Sunset April 12: Unleavened Bread begins (ETC & rabbinic).

So this is a welcome blessing since in 2024 the rabbinic and the ETC calendar differed by a whole month!

Later in the year 2025 however, the rabbinic and the ETC differ on the date for Yom Kippur.

The 2025 Eternal Torah Calendar is here!

On the Muslim calendar, Ramadan month of daytime fasting and nighttime feasting and festivals began Feb 28, 2025.  It it anticipated to end March 29, 2025, but this varies as it depends upon the sighting of the moon.

Thanks for prayer and support for our work.

Noam Tibon, 60, helped save the Nahal Oz kibbutz

Noam Tibon drove his private car there from Tel Aviv with his private sidearm in an effort to save his son, son’s wife and children.  He volunteered without being called up by the IDF.

Six-fingered shaman skeleton excavated near Jerusalem

Excavation near Jerusalem found the tomb of a 9,000-year-old six-fingered Neolithic shaman woman, in the Motza archaeological site in the hills of Jerusalem, with six fingers on her left hand.

Biblically, this is a trait associated with the Nephilim (fallen ones) giants, also Rephaim, and their descendants:

‘And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.‭’  2Sa 21:20

Jerusalem Post, captured 5 March 2025.
If the date is correct, 9,000 years would place this site pre-Flood, as well as pre-pottery.

I have not found specifics, however if notable, then I would think that this uncovered skeleton has the rare Type III Central Polydactyly, rather than the more common variants Hexadactyly, a well recognized genetic trait, or Ulnar polydactyly which today is thought to be 1 in 143 among certain African populations.

Type III Central Polydactyly:

Lame Gaza solution proposed by Egypt

Egypt, along with the rest of the Arab world, has been scrambling to come up with any idea better than Trump’s “Gaza Riviera” concept.

What Egypt came up with:

  • No concept of how to reconstruct Gaza safely with the population still in place
  • Leave Hamas in place to rule Gaza afterward, or “reduce them gradually,” a cover-up for rebuilding terror tunnels
  • $53B budget to rebuild

Jerusalem Post, 5 March 2025 pg 1.

So far, “Gaza Riviera” solution is the winner. But will Trump’s proposal be selected, eventually, or refused?

Rough scenes at the Knesset

Yarden Bibas, survived over 500 days as a Prisoner of War in Gaza, only to return and eventually find out that his wife Shiri (32) and boys Ariel and Kfir had been slaughtered in captivity by Gazans who used their bare hands.  Yarden sent a letter to Netanyahu, delivered during the Knesset session yesterday.  See below:

Times of Israel, captured 5 March 2025.

Bereaved parents were also violently prevented from entering the Knesset observation gallery.  Some parents were injured in the scuffle, while others were eventually allowed into the sound-proof observation room, called the gallery.

The Israeli Knesset was modeled after the British style of Parliament, and both have plenty of shouting and arguing between their parliament members.  Evidently if the public gallery were not soundproofed, the shouting from the public would be so disruptive that the Knesset members would not be able to hear one anothers’ shouting.

The people of Israel do demand a commission of State Inquiry into the failures of Oct 7.  However, there are plenty of Israeli politicians who would like to use that commission to further their own personal political goals.  Netanyahu’s stance is that such a commission must be balanced, not partisan.  As Bibi sees it, the retired judge who would appoint the commission is a partisan leftist, given that the judicial system has not yet been reformed.  Of course the existing judicial system, while leftist, itself believes that it should always remain as such.

On the one hand, I’m not impressed by the accusations from Knesset Member Lapid against Netanyahu.  It’s the same anti-Right tone as before the war, and Lapid stands to gain politically.  On the other hand, I’m not impressed with Netanyahu for refusing to acknowledge the letter from Yarden Bibas, a grieving father who “failed” to protect his family using one single gun.  This casts Netanyahu in a bad light, as if he himself has his own petty political aims just like so many of the others.  And yet, he does have a point: what’s the use of a state commission that is unbalanced and used as a weapon against the majority political movement in the nation?

Another point remains: The head of the Shin Bet (Security Service) failed to wake Netanyahu when he knew an attack had begun.  Lapid, blaming THAT on Netanyahu, seems petty for it.

Bereaved parents, invited to the Knesset observation gallery, were beaten by guards. Yarden Bibas, bereaved husband and father, and surviving POW, sent a letter which was read aloud. It’s hard to say what are the motives of the politicians involved – how much do they want “truth” and “justice” and how much do they want to preserve or advance their careers? Prayer for Israel is requested.

Pray for our work and consider support.

How the Nahal Oz army base fell

It was IDF soldiers indiscriminately posting photos that accidentally revealed intel to Hamas about the function and location of all buildings in the base, as well as how much time it would take for patrol and response time.

Many often wonder why more Israeli civilians are not armed.  We now learn that not even all the IDF personnel were armed! These soldiers were stationed in the base just several yards (meters) away from Gaza:
