Now, since the nations and political entities do not care one iota about theology, let’s turn to the legalities which is according to the laws of men. UN Resolution 181 (II) officially passed with 33 nations in favor, taking the majority vote.
Meanwhile, keep in mind that Bible Believers also give due respect to laws of men as well as to the political systems of men. But first, the discussion as to the legal basis according to the political and military superpowers of the contemporary age – mainly Great Britain, Europe, the USA – however, many other powers are also signatories to the legal agreements.
UN Resolution 181 (II) did in fact grant Judea and Samaria and the rest of Mandatory Palestine to the new state of Israel as well as to a new Arab state. However, by refusing this offer, the Arab nations legally forfeited their portion of what had previously been under British control:

Soon after legally forfeiting their land, Jordan and Egypt illegally occupied parts of the land, namely parts of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. That illegal occupation ended twenty years later with the Six Days’ War of 1967. At that point, possession of the lands reverted back to the legal owner, Israel. Legal in the sense of world politics; again, here we are not talking about theological law, but international secular law.
As believers, we are also subject to kings and political systems to the extent that our personal Biblical beliefs are not violated:
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 1 Timothy 2:1-2, AV
And yet, those earthly political systems are themselves subject to Y’shua:
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him. 1 Peter 3:22, AV
This means, among other things, that earthly political systems are subject to Messiah Y’shua – and answerable to Him in the final Judgment.
