They chained him, starved him, and sexually harassed him.

The terrorists showed him a TV of the Israelis protesting in Hostage Square in Tel Aviv (I filmed a video from there).
Someone held his picture. His family put a yellow piano there. (The color of remembering hostages; The Israelis don’t know the connection, but this comes directly from the song “Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ol’ Oak Tree.”)
That’s what gave him strength to live on – just to NOT LET THEM DOWN.
The remains of one of the Thai hostages, Sudthisak Rinthalak, just came back to Israel, and identified forensically as belonging to him. If he had seen a TV, I doubt he would have much chance of seeing anyone in Hostage Square holding his photo. His brother in Thailand feels guilty now for encouraging Sudthisak to come to Israel for work as a farm laborer.
