Day 790: How did Alon Ohel survive THAT for 2 years?!

They chained him, starved him, and sexually harassed him.

Captured on 4 Dec 2025 from Times of Israel.

The terrorists showed him a TV of the Israelis protesting in Hostage Square in Tel Aviv (I filmed a video from there).

Someone held his picture. His family put a yellow piano there. (The color of remembering hostages; The Israelis don’t know the connection, but this comes directly from the song “Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Ol’ Oak Tree.”)

That’s what gave him strength to live on – just to NOT LET THEM DOWN.

The remains of one of the Thai hostages, Sudthisak Rinthalak, just came back to Israel, and identified forensically as belonging to him.  If he had seen a TV, I doubt he would have much chance of seeing anyone in Hostage Square holding his photo.  His brother in Thailand feels guilty now for encouraging Sudthisak to come to Israel for work as a farm laborer.

Nova party survivor Shir Zohar outran Hamas: now closer to The Creator

“A bullet flew past my head — it blew off my cap.” On October 7th, Shir Zohar looked up and saw missiles filling the sky — then five Hamas terrorists in IDF uniforms.

In seconds, her friend hit the gas. Bullets tore through their windshield. One missed Shir by inches. Then a stranger, Ori Arad, appeared — calm, fearless.

“Don’t worry girls. I’ll get you out of here,” he said.

He saved their lives — and gave his own. This is Shir’s story: of terror, survival, and finding God in the fire.

Secretive shell company relocated 153 Gazans to South Africa

A European with Israeli citizenship is apparently loyal to the anti-Israel cause:

Jerusalem Post, 18 Nov 2025 pg 1 & 7.

Paragraph highlighted by the red outline:  A British man, or perhaps an Estonian, who acquired Israeli citizenship, formed various corporations in Germany, then Estonia, for relocating Gazans out to other parts of the world.

Blue-outlined paragraph: Palestinian Authority (government for Arabs living in Judea and Samaria) is trying to blame all this on Israel.  In other words – they try to frame this as Israel’s nefarious plot to evacuate Gazans to depopulate the area.

Hamas busted in Bethlehem

Bethlehem, located just east of Jerusalem, was the center of major Hamas operations foiled by the Israeli Secret Service:

Jerusalem Post, 14 Nov 2025 pg 1.

One of the cells was ready to carry out an imminent terrorist attack when its members were captured, it said. (Jerusalem Post)

Jerusalem Post, 14 Nov 2025 pg 1.

Joint IDF, ISA, and Israel Police Announcement:

In recent weeks, the IDF, ISA, and the Israel Police dismantled a Hamas terrorist stronghold from which terrorists operated in the Bethlehem area and planned to carry out shooting attacks against security forces and Israeli civilians.

The IDF apprehended more than 50 terrorists, who were later transferred to the ISA for further questioning. The forces conducted more than 15 different operations, some of which were undercover and conducted in broad daylight. In one of the operations, IDF soldiers identified and confiscated multiple weapons, including an M16 weapon.

One of the terrorist cells was in an advanced stage of operational readiness, prepared to carry out attacks within the immediate timeframe.

The thwarting of this infrastructure prevented significant terror attacks, which could have taken a heavy toll on the lives of many Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The IDF, ISA, and Israel Police will continue to operate to thwart any attempt by Hamas to plan or execute terrorist activity against the State of Israel and its civilians, and will work to bring to justice those involved in such activity.

Lior Rudaeff’s body returned

Gaza continues to slow-walk its obligations to return all 48 hostages for Phase One of the ceasefire.  Each Israeli family on a tightrope hoping that they will get closure.

En route to Jerusalem this morning, I snapped this photo of my newspaper on my knee, as I rode the bus to play harp in a concert.
