For example, when Trump uses “wild” language as when he referred to the Iranian jihadist leaders as “animals,” he did not mean literal animals, he meant, in colorful businessman language – that they are humans who behave unreasonably and without logic–because they are blinded by their theology and hatred.
Normal presidents and normal politicians in the West do not use words such as “animal.” But businessmen do use such words – and much worse than that – and when they do – they are serious, but not literal.
What happens when people get this confused? I refer to those who take Trump literally but not seriously. These people get hung up on the literal words while missing the real meaning. In a way, Trump is “trolling” them. As a result, those people will exhaust themselves protesting the literal words, claiming that he’s insane, which is to say – he cannot be taken seriously – while he goes on and fulfills his serious plans.
Here is an example:
Above: Each of these complainants are from the Democrat Party in the USA. They are all confused. They took Trump’s words literally, thinking he would destroy all 93 million people in Iran, but they do not take him seriously: They labeled him as insane. In the second half, a Democrat from Portland named Maxine Dexter cried and spoke emotionally, because she thought Trump planned to kill Iranian civilians. She’s confused. Trump and Netanyahu have both well-established policies in their militaries, legal systems, and governments, to go after terrorist and criminals while doing minimum damage to civilians. Actions speak louder than words. But these members of the opposition party, the Democrat party, consistently choose to ignore actions because they enjoy getting all emotional in front of cameras by misintepreting Trump’s words as if they were literal. They prefer to imagine that Trump is insane, and unserious, because his actions and sane decisions to remove tyrants is undoing the Deep State’s international plans for tyranny.
In another example, USA’s National Public Radio (left-leaning, taxpayer supported) makes the same mistake, thinking that “a whole civilization” meant the 93 million people population, instead of the real meaning: the jihadist government:
See the misunderstanding better now?
As a businessman, decades prior to any political career, Trump spoke reasonably and without colorful language about the danger of Iran’s willingness and ability to take American hostages, and about the nuclear prospects. Those calm and reasonable words had absolutely no effect. With his new strategy, his enemies continue to make fools of themselves, leaving those who understand the dangers free to support him in the seriousness of the situation. See below Trump’s words back in 1980:
Calm. Reasoned. And totally ignored. American government members let decade after decade pass, with none of them having the willpower nor the courage to confront Iran. Meanwhile, Iran got richer, stronger, better armed, and more theologically insane with their death cult.
I, for one, take the ayatollahs seriously when they said they want to rule the world with sharia law; when they said death to Israel and death to the USA. They are theologically confused by a demonic religion, and they must be taken seriously.
I also take Trump seriously when he says they must never be allowed to have ballistic missiles–which pummel Israel at this moment–nor nuclear weapons. However I do not take Trump literally when he drops an “f-bomb” or “animals” or “entire civilization” in his sentences. Those words are added for extra impact, but they do not mean that he literally would command the military to massacre millions. That’s the kind of thing that Communist rulers do; the strategy that Ayatollahs use; and jihadists; but Western, Judeo-Christian nations such as that led at the moment by President Trump – reasonable and Biblical nations do not use such techniques.
One more thought: What if such rough language is only meant for the Ayatollahs?
We know that they listen carefully to all public statements coming from their enemies in the Judeo-Christian West.
