Sept 5, 1972: Palestinians massacred Israeli athletes at the Olympic games in Munich, Germany.
On the eve of Sept 5, 2024, a huge barrage of over 100 missiles from Lebanon were fired at Israel starting at 7:58 pm. The next morning in Munich, a gunman opened fire at police near the Israeli consulate in Munich, apparently, in commemoration of the massacre 52 years ago.
If the special missile barrage was also meant to be a grim reminder as well – that is anyone’s guess.
